HomeAid Houston - Helping to build transitional shelters for the homeless in Houston

New shelter coming to north Houston

Restoration Hill

After a year of planning, HomeAid Houston plans to break ground next month on a new shelter for women and children called Restoration Hill.

Located off of I-45 north of 610, near Tidwell, the 30,000-square-foot transitional housing will have 150 beds, a commericial kitchen, classrooms, child care and group meeting rooms.

Houston's Volunteers of America owns the land and will operate the facility upon completion.

HomeAid Houston, a charity arm of the Greater Houston Builders Association, and Camden Builders plan to break ground on April 6 and start construction in by June. Mark Atkins is the architect for the project.

Building homes. Building hope.
