The Women's Home

The mission of The Women's Home is to help women in crisis regain their self esteem and dignity, empowering them to return to society as productive, self sufficient individuals. Over the past 50 years The Women's Home has provided services to thousands of women seeking escape from the destructive cycles of domestic violence, mental illness and drug and alcohol abuse.

In June, 2010, HomeAid Houston, in partnership with Remodeler Captain Breck Powers of LBJ Construction, renovated their "Great Room," which serves 43 women seeking shelter and assistance with domestic violence and drug/alcohol abuse. This room acts as an informal kitchen/serving area for breakfast and lunch for the ladies and also is their main meeting room for their AA meetings and informal gathering.
