HomeAid Houston, a 501 c 3 charity of the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA),  has been selected as one of 10 beneficiaries of Golf for Greater Houston, Fluor's Annual Charity Golf Tournament to be held in September.  Fluor Corporation is a multinational engineering and construction firm.

Fluor Cares®, Fluor’s formal employee volunteer program, is the heart of the company’s community involvement efforts.  The program supports and serves the greater Houston-area community through the annual Golf for Greater Houston event, and with the continued support of sponsors, has donated more than $2,100,000.  Fluor selected their 10 beneficiaries of the tournament to mark its 10th anniversary.

The tournament, a three day event beginning  September 24, will be held at the Black Hawk and Shadow Hawk Country Club in Richmond, Texas.

"This is a huge opportunity and an honor to be selected as one of the beneficiaries of the Fluor Golf for Greater Houston event," said Salty Thomason, president of HomeAid. "The tremendous community participation through sponsorships and the company's volunteer program, will make Golf For Greater Houston an event to remember."

Funds received through the Golf for Greater Houston event will go toward HomeAid's mission "To build new lives for homeless families and individuals through housing and community outreach".
