HomeAid Houston was honored at a recent HomeAid board meeting by guests from DPIS Engineering and the GHBA's own Sales and Marketing Council (SMC), who presented checks to HomeAid that will be put toward their mission, "to build new lives for homeless families and individuals through housing and community outreach".
DPIS Engineering raised over $19,000 for HomeAid at their "Pinchin' Tails for HomeAid Houston" crawfish boil. DPIS and dozens of volunteers organized the fundraiser as a team competition that was held at the company's location in Tomball, Texas. Team leaders from DPIS, Brannon King and Tessa Martin, presented a check to HomeAid President, Cindy Hinson in the amount of $19,255.36
Laurie Wilson with First American Title, also presented a check from the GHBA's Sales and Marketing Council (SMC), in the amount of $1,751.45. This is the first year HomeAid Houston has been a beneficiary of the SMC's annual giving back to the community program.
"The HomeAid board was honored to be presented with funds from both DPIS Engineering and the GHBA's Sales and Marketing Council," said Hinson. "It is donations like these that allow us to help change the lives of men, women, children and veterans who struggle to find stability within our own community."
