Cora Casey Project
In the winter of 2007 – 2008, a call came into HomeAid Houston from Child Advocates. Could they help a foster mother of five severely disabled children with some badly-needed home renovations? From this request grew a $100,000 home renovation that included roll-in showers and ADA compliant bathrooms, a new master bedroom and bathroom, exterior and interior paint, back and front yard clean up. By working in partnership with the GHBA’s Remodelers Council and their many generous donors and suppliers, HomeAid Houston was able to lighten the load of a very special family.
This deserving mother continues to serve the GHBA through her participation on the Remodelers Council Charity Project committee.
