Ryland Homes is joining HomeAid, Newland Communities and Texas Baptist Children’s Home (TBCH), a Children at Heart Ministry, to construct a 7-bedroom, 7,100-square-foot “cottage,” designed for families working through crisis in the Austin area community of Round Rock. This team shares HomeAid’s mission, to “Build dignified housing where homeless families and individuals can rebuild their lives”.

HomeAid Houston has provided assistance to the Mission of Yahweh on a recent renovation project that, when completed at the end of the year, will provide 19 new bedrooms which will house 40 additional women and children at this Spring Branch area shelter. HomeAid is a 501 c 3 charity sponsored by the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA).

HomeAid Houston, a 501 c 3 charity that builds transitional housing for Houston’s homeless, has joined efforts with Darling Homes to overhaul the community kitchen that serves 100 formerly homeless male and female veterans who range in age from 28 to 83. These individuals live at the De George at Union Station in downtown Houston. This is a single room occupancy facility, meaning each resident has their own room with a bed, dresser, desk, small bathroom, microwave and mini-frig. The vets share a small community kitchen that has seen better days.
